Nice cottage 4 km away from Lake Åsnen. The cottage is located outside Urshult in Småland in Tingsryd municipality. It is beautifully situated and has a large natural plot with flowering apple trees during the month of May. There is a glazed porch for cooler evenings as well as a large open terrace outside the house. In front of the cottage there is also a small covered terrace, here is also the entrance to the bedroom with the bunk bed. The bathroom is of a simpler standard with a separate toilet and a hand shower from the sink. Only German TV channels.
By the water there is a jetty that you can stand and fish on and your aluminum boat (13 feet) is located by the shore. You can rent an engine (5 hp) for SEK 900 per week from the homeowner. Åsnen is a good fishing lake with a good stock of pike, pikeperch and perch.
You have access to two bicycles and 2 sun beds.
Urshult is known for its apple orchards and there are many flea markets and second-hand shops here. Drive out on Sirkön, which is very beautiful. Also visit Kurrebo. The nearest shop is in Urshult and here you eat well at restaurant Ladan.
In Tingsryd you have a good lunch at restaurant Mårdlycke with a view of Lake Tiken. Here at Tingsryd Resort there is also a tennis court and mini golf. You should visit Börjes in Tingsryd which has good shrimp sandwiches.
The lake Åsnen has a national park that stretches over a species-rich landscape of lakes, islands, forests and wetlands. There are plenty of cycling and hiking trails here and if you are lucky you can see a sea eagle.
In the immediate area is Lake Mien with the bathing places Laxasand and Midingsbråte or why not drive down to the sea. Karlshamn is only 20 minutes away. Karlshamn is a cozy town and you can eat good fish at Vägga harbor at Wägga Fisk & Delikatessrökeri.
An electricity cost of SEK 3.50 / kwh will be added on departure.
