The house has three bedrooms with four sleeping places distributed on it, there is also a double sofa bed The living room has a spacious sofa plus a TV and fireplace for movie nights or just coziness. One of the bedrooms also has a TV which, like the one in the living room, has both Swedish and German channels. There is a toilet with shower and also a washing machine in the house.
The garden is large with a lawn with space for various outdoor activities and games. At the front of the house there is a terrace with table and ordinary chairs but also sun loungers to use when the weather allows it. However, the terrace has no roof except a parasol, but do not be afraid, if you would like to have dinner outdoors even when the weather is not fully on your side, there is also a pavilion in the garden. It also has tables and chairs but under a built-in roof. On the plot there is also an annex with a wood-fired sauna.
If you want to go swimming, there is a lake 7 km from the house.
The nearest town is Vimmerby, 20 minutes by car from the house. Here you will find lots of activities for the whole family!
The theme park Astrid Lindgren's world is a must with Pippi, Emil, Ronja and all other well-known characters. Many of the places where these films were shot are still in the Vimmerby area to visit and see with your own eyes. Astrid Lindgren's childhood home Näs can also be visited.
However, Vimmerby has more than just Astrid Lindgren to offer; many different exquisite crafts and craftsmen are found here. Many date back more than a century. Join in and see how wax candles are made with the same equipment as 100 years ago at Käbbo wax candles, Vimmerby pottery is also happy to show how their production is done. And why not stop at Mariannelund's caramel cookery, anno 1929, which also they have not changed their manufacturing process since the first caramels were sold.
For those who prefer to go out into nature, there are many hiking and biking trails around Vimmerby that take you through forests, past fields and lakes, the real Småland landscape! You can certainly find and pick berries and mushrooms here during the autumn. It is also possible to rent a canoe and paddle down the Stångån. If you prefer more speed and fan, there is Vimmerby Adventure with high-altitude course, Björkebacken's adventure golf with water playground and Virum's moose park where you can get the opportunity to feed moose.
