Description
In this cozy cottage you live comfortably and only 15 minutes from Vimmerby with its entire range of shops, restaurants and Astrid Lindgren's World.
Through the entrance you enter a small hall with toilet and shower. The kitchen is next door and has seating for 4-6 people. The living room is comfortably furnished with two sofas and a wood burning stove, which you can fire up when needed. The bedroom is furnished with a double bed. On the glass veranda you can sit and relax in the evenings and look out over the surroundings. Upstairs you will find the two other bedrooms which have a double bed in one and two single beds in the other. The house is surrounded by forest and pastures and with a short walk you come to the lake with its fine sandy beach.
To see and do in Vimmerby and the surrounding area
In 15 minutes you can get to Vimmerby. Here you can, among other things, visit the theme park Astrid Lindgren's World, where you can meet Pippi Longstocking, Emil of Lönneberga. Another popular destination for children is Kalles Lek & Latjo, which is a large playground for children. For the more grown-up, a visit to the MX World Collection might be worth a visit. This is one of Europe's largest motocross/motorcycle museums. They have a collection of over 350 different bikes and it's a A unique collection you can view on site. On the plot there is a trampoline, swing and a sandpit for the children.
Just outside Vimmerby you can go to ”Bullerbyn” and you can also make a visit to Katthult, where the Emil films were filmed. If you want to experience moose up close and also pet them, you can go to Virum Moose Park by 15 minutes.
The coastal town of Västervik, which has been named Sweden's best summer city in 2020 and 2021, is a 30-minute drive away. Here you can walk and shop in galleries, boutiques and maybe make some bargains in the flea marketshops or eat a good bite good food down in the harbor. If you want to swim, you can go to the nice Lysingsbadet, which has a water park. If you want to go to a good spa, you go to the fantastic beautiful Gränsö Castle. You can also take a boat trip out to one of all the islands in the beautiful archipelago.
